Please join us for a presentation by Steve Hutton, Ed.D. Dr. Hutton is currently working for Epilepsy Alliance Ohio as the Director of Community Education. He has been a teacher, principal, superintendent, director of special education, instructional supervisor, and former Executive Director of tlhe Kentucky Center for Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports.
Dr. Hutton graduated from Georgetown College with a degree in elementary education. He holds master’s degrees from Xavier University in Reading and Educational Administration K-12. In 1995, Dr. Hutton graduated from the University of Kentucky with a doctorate in Educational Administration. He is also a graduate of the Institute for Special Education Advocates from tlhe William and Mary College of Law. Additionally, Dr. Hutton is a member of the Master IEP Coach Network. Moreover, he has been a presenter at many local, state, regional and national conferences.
Dr. Hutton will cover topics such as:
• How to support your child(ren) with epilepsy in the educational setting.
• When does a child with epilepsy need to consider an IEP vs 504 and why?
• Epilepsy accommodations.
• When SDI becomes critical to a child with epilepsy.
