Please join us for an informative presentation by Melissa Mangino focusing on providing parents a clear process on how to prepare for IEP meetings in a purposeful way. Melissa has  an “insiders perspective” as an experienced district Special Education Senior Supervisor, a district Supervisor over inclusionary practices, a district-level compliance teacher, and a  school-level ESE coordinator and ESE teacher. This in-deptlh experience serves as tlhe foundation for her practice. She has worked witlh hundreds of families and is passionate about advocating for students and supporting families as they navigate the special education system.

Melissa will cover topics such as:
• Preparing for the ETR meeting that will drive the IEP. Why this meeting is critical before testing begins? What to do if the request is denied? What to do if you don’t feel the ETR results match the concerns and profile of your child?
• Preparing for the IEP meeting. Melissa shares how to use an easy 3 step process to redefine your seat at the IEP table.
• Preparing for a manifestation determination hearing. What you need to know in order to be prepared for a hearing and what to expect.
